STEPHEN
who
is he?
how did they meet?
Sanatorium?!
Ooh... The labour ward of the Hong Kong Sanatorium Hospital on 20th
March 1974
Childhood
hero:
Captain
Tsubasa 足球小將 (Japanese soccer cartoon)
although he can't even kick a ball properly.
Interests:
As
a cycling nut head, he likes to associate anything with bicycle.
Ambition:
Climb
to the top of Alpe D'Huez in France (on his bike of course) and
have a coffee at the chalet.
Birthday
fantasy:
A new euro pro-bike outside my door. Colnago C40 team bike will
be nice.
Constantly
showing off:
His
quadriceps, those ugly tan lines and his cycling computer (with
stats in it)
He
would not mind people looking:
at him on his bike, his car or his wife (hey....).
Never
do:
see a movie on his own, eat chilly ice cream, listen to black hop
pops.
Hate:
not seeing the cop car coming, people driving slow in front, driving
too close when he rides. Bikers leave him behind on climbs.
Currently love:
His lovely wife of course, watching HK TV series, continue working
on our wedding site.
How
we meet:
"It
was Feb 2001 when I first met Mia at the Royal Melbourne Hospital,
in the ward 4 south. I was a Neurosurgical resident while she was
a Physiotherapy student there. She enlightened my life, especially
the dull one I had then... if you know what I mean."
"Back
then I saw her at the cafeteria every morning before she started
her day. I was accused then not joining my colleague for the post
round coffee. Having a coffee with her every morning was great.
Sorry guys! First was a few lattes together. Then we exchanged SMS
messages (one thanks to Gerard). Soon after we had a late night
date cruising in my car :D"
"Our
first date? I was surprised about our first date. I was surprised
she agreed to go out with me so easily. I was nervous, I don't know
where to bring her but I think we both had a good time."
"The
proposal?! A few weeks before I purchased the ring, I was wondering
what she liked. A big rock? Or a breaking my bank account humongous
rock? Lucky she just wanted one that could not catch her patients.
So I got her a princess cut diamond ring."
"No
she did not really choose the ring. I did try to bring her to a
jeweler once but she refused to go in. I proposed to her on the
Christmas Day, on my knees, in the morning, besides the bed. It
was good because she would not remember that she accepted and found
herself wearing a ring when she woke up! Just kidding ^_^"
Thanks for everyone that came for the wedding.
