When I got to Torquay, I was a bit tired of riding - it was understandable I guess. However, I did not know that was the first sign of "hitting the wall". I managed to get to the second morning tea stop at Little River with some reserve and I quickly chose double of ripe banana. We received police escort from Little River through to Werribee, the doggie bike track to Lara and to Altona Beach, where we have our lunch. Everyone was very tired at this stage so to stay in a group we were only doing a mere 25 kph. Then we all bunched up together for a massive show-off all the way, via Footscray, to the Exhibition Centre and the Bicycling Australia Bicycle Show.
